Guest Guidelines
Important: all WanderHaus guests should be familiar with these guidelines before arrival.
Haus Cats
WanderHaus is home for three friendly & social cats: two black cats (Espresso Beansz & Iconic), and a gray cat (Sophie Hippopotamus Beans). Never feed the cats, or leave food unattended, under any circumstances. Always clean up dropped food immediately. Allergic? Over-the-counter antihistamines are available in the Powder Room.
No Glitter
Glitter gets stuck in our cats’ fur & paws, and is subsequently swallowed when they clean themselves. Swallowing glitter is very unhealthy for the cats: so please help keep our Haus glitter free.
All bedrooms are private & off limits.
Please stay out of all bedrooms, unless explicitly invited by a resident.
No smoking indoors, vaping is okay
No smoking indoors (cannabis or cigarettes), but vaping is permitted indoors (cannabis or nicotine). Smoking permitted on the porch (access available via the kitchen door).
Clothing Optional
We’re a clothing optional space. Always sit on a towel / cloth if exposed.
COVID Policy
COVID vaccination encouraged, masks optional. Multi-day events may require proof (photo) of a negative COVID test no older than 3 days. Stay home if you feel sick, and let us know if you develop symptoms or test positive for COVID. Your honesty helps us keep everyone safe.
Haus of Peace
Violence, threats of violence, bullying, guns (all kinds), knives, and other weapons are not allowed. All weapons must be disclosed and relinquished at the door. They will be returned to you upon your departure. Exception: ritual items which could be used as weapons are allowed, but must be peace-tied before arrival, and remain tied throughout the duration of your visit.
Liability & Admission
These are private events. The host of any event, or the Haus residents, reserve the right to turn anyone away. The host & residents do not assume assume responsibility for personal injury, or property damage, or property loss.
If WanderHaus residents need to communicate with a visitor regarding any issue (including conflict resolution), all matters must be resolved to the residents’ satisfaction before the visitor may attend their next WanderHaus event.

Available Amenities
The WiFi network is – Shady Pines – and the password is – 3HolePunch
Common amenities are available in the Powder Room: masks, ibuprofen, allergy medication, disposable toothbrushes, masks, tampons, pads, mints, q-tips, 5-HTP, and more.
We have a 2 person dry-sauna available for use (bring your own towel). Instructions and guidelines for use are posted on the inside of the door.
Use of the Rumpus Room, sewing machines, wet bar, and power tools requires resident approval.
Nearby Transit & Parking
The Argyle CTA Red Line stop is nearby, and available 24/7. Several buses run nearby, and are available during the day. Check the CTA website, or Google Maps, for additional information & transit schedules. Our street, and those near us, can have limited parking. We do not own the parking lot next to our building.
Lost & Found Items
Unclaimed Lost & Found items are donated to the Cat Boutique (*local Rad Fae clothing & item giveaway) at every potluck. Contact a resident if you need an item held for pickup. We are not responsible for any property left in the Lost & Found.
THC Food & Beverages
All food / beverages for others, which contains THC, must be clearly marked. Clothespins labeled “Contains THC” are available in the Dining Room’s black cabinet.
Never Leave Food Unattended (even wrapped!)
Do not leave food unattended, even if it’s wrapped or in containers. The cats chew through plastic wrap & other containers. This is especially important for bread, bagels, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, pies, donuts, etc. Store food items in the fridge or cupboards.
Always Place Food & Drinks on a Table
Yes, always – even when lounging on the floor mats.
Child Supervision
During ‘all-ages’ events, minors must be accompanied at all times.
Haus Altar
This altar serves as a sacred focal point within our home. Folks are invited to donate meaningful objects, talismans, or ephemera that resonate with them. As stewards for this spiritual nexus, residents may occasionally rearrange or remove items as part of the altar’s natural evolution.

Hosting an Event
The following sections will help orient hosts and volunteers when facilitating an event at WanderHaus.

Discuss & promote your event
Talk about your event at Potluck; invite faeries by sending them personal invitations; and discuss your function in larger chat rooms like Chi Fae 🗣️Light Chat, or Chi Fae 🗣️All Topics Chat.
Many Hands Make Light Work
Collaborate with with your co-hosts & volunteers to distribute your event’s tasks. Who’s going to: promote the event & send reminders? Bring the snacks? Provide the music? Brew tea / coffee during the event? Open the door & greet attendees? Sweep & clean up after the function?
Ensure You Have What You Need
Hosts are responsible for acquiring all items for their event, including: food, snacks, beverages, cookware, decorations, DJ / sound equipment, lighting, projectors, etc.
