Gatherette Coordinator Role Descriptions

Cooks & Food Prep

• Before Gatherette
  • Work with meal cooks to determine what day they want to cook.
  • Ensure all recipes take into account allergies of registered fae, and alter recipes as necessary.
  • Collect the recipes for each meal, and have them available to hand off to a back-up cook if necessary.
  • Build a single shopping list.
  • Organize a shopping trip to buy the groceries 1 or 2 days before Gatherette. Alternatively, this could be a groceries delivery.
  • After the food delivery arrives, organize the kitchen and meal ingredients appropriately (labeling them, sorting them for each meal, etc).
• During Gatherette
  • Support the cooks, as needed, when they prepare their meals.
  • Find volunteers to prep food for the cooks (chop veggies, peel potatoes, etc.).

Kitchen Cleanup

• Before Gatherette
  • Build a calendar of volunteers for kitchen cleanup throughout Gatherette.
• During Gatherette
  • Remind volunteers of their shifts.
  • Support cleanup faeries as necessary.
  • Find backup cleaners if the volunteers are not present or are otherwise unable to assist.

Psychic Friends

• Before Gatherette
  • Build a calendar of volunteers to be Psychic Friends throughout Gatherette.
• During Gatherette
  • Remind volunteers of their shifts.
  • Ensure the Psychic Friends space is clean and well stocked.
  • Support Psychic Friends faeries as necessary.
  • Find backup Psychic Friends if the volunteers are not present or are otherwise unable to assist.

Zhuzh the Space

• During Gatherette
  • Organize fellow Zhuzh the Space faeries to help zhuzh as necessary.
  • Check in with residents semi-regularly, to see if there are any zhuzh needs.

Laundry Crew

• During Gatherette
  • Organize fellow Laundry Crew faeries to start laundry, move wet laundry to the dryer, or pull out & fold clean laundry as necessary.
  • Check in with residents semi-regularly, to see if there are any laundry needs.

Cosmic Soup

• Before Gatherette
  • Put out a call for performers.
  • Collect links to songs for performers, any needs their performance has (lightning, space requirements, etc), and any trigger warnings associated with their performance.
  • Begin to build a set list for the show.
• During Gatherette
  • Organize performers & stage crew before the show.
  • Assist performers & stage crew as necessary.

Rideshare

• Before Gatherette
  • Ask members of the Rideshare chat if they want to be a driver (car not required), if they have a car they can offer for Gatherette, or if they are a passenger looking for rides to / from Gatherette.
  • Begin to build a calendar of available drivers, cars, and passengers Gatherette.
  • Connect drivers, car owners, and passengers directly, so you are not the middle-person.
• During Gatherette
  • Ensure drivers, cars, and passengers are flowing smoothly.
  • Assist drivers and passengers as necessary.

Homeshare

• Before Gatherette
  • Ask members of the Homeshare chat if they have a home to offer (e.g. a guest room, sleeper couch, etc), or if they are a faerie looking for a place to sleep.
  • Faeries looking for a place to sleep do not need to necessarily be out-of-towners. It might be more convenient for some local faeries to sleep closer to the Gatherette.
  • Connect home owners, and faeries looking for a place to sleep directly, so you are not the middle-person.
• During Gatherette
  • Ensure home owners, and faeries looking for a place to sleep, are flowing smoothly.
  • Assist home owners and faeries looking for a place to sleep as necessary.
