⁨That’s a wrap on our first ever ☀️ Summer Gatherette held in Chicago, y’all! Great job everyone!

My deepest gratitude to Bacchus, Lucky, Ease, Aura, and Access for hosting events; to the Chicago faerie houses and their residents [in reverse order of appearance] – Dovetail Manor, Raven’s Hearth, Rogue House, the Kenmore Fantasy, and WanderHaus; to our Cosmic Soup emcee Access, and all our awesome performers; to Birdfriend for co-hosting the opening ritual with me; to Marlowe, Dragonheart, Yuvi, and Patches for weaving the Lammas ritual together; to the 14 creators that contributed to the Lammas issue of Slurp!; to the numerous behind the scenes folks who helped get our beautiful spaces ready to receive guests; to the spouses, partners, friends, and roommates who supported us as we embarked on this amazing adventure; to anyone I forgot to name (sorry! I didn’t mean to forget you!); and … to all of you!

Gatherette couldn’t be possible without y’all leaning in, and making it happen! If you want to see cool shit in our community, YOU have to help create it, and YOU have to help sustain it.

We truly had an amazing first year for Summer Gatherette in Chicago. Tonight, as we watched the moon rise during our Closing Ritual, I truly felt blessed to be a part the Chicago fae. Y’all warm my soul. This is the treasure. You are the magic.
